The minimum official finisher distance is 3 km. The standard lap measures 7 km (4.37 miles) but may be adjusted to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points within the lap to support UK Athletics age rules.

An aid and drinks table is provided at the start and finish of each lap offering savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
