Event Overview
This is a 7-hour time challenge event in July 2026, giving participants full control over the distance they run. The event is part of a series of midweek runs designed to be affordable.
Course and Format
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed. Approximately 60% of the surface is on a well-made path or tarmac, with the remainder on grass and light trail that can get muddy.
The event uses a lap format. A full lap is 4.37 miles (7km), but this may change to 3.28 miles depending on conditions. There are also 3km and 5km turn points within the lap. Participants can run as many or as few laps as they wish within the 7-hour window, subject to UK Athletics age restrictions for each distance. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3km.
Lap totals for standard distances are 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, and 7 or more for an ultra marathon. A 50km distance is also available.
What's Included
All finishers receive a medal. Additional distance pins for the medal ribbon are available for those completing a half marathon or more. All finishers also receive a goody bag, with a vegan option available. An aid table at the start/finish area offers a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese, and vegan items.

The event takes place at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club in Egham. Venue facilities include toilets, changing facilities, and a cafe. There is an unmanned bag drop area.
