Saturn Running - Midweek Chasing Numbers July 2026
Saturn Running holds a midweek Chasing Numbers event that uses a 7 hour Time Challenge format. The event lets participants control how far they run, with a minimum distance of 3 km and multiple distance options. A full lap is described as 7 km or 4.37 miles, with a possible alternative loop of 3.28 miles depending on course conditions. Three laps make a half marathon, six laps make a marathon, seven or more laps count as an ultra, and a 50 km option is available. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points on the lap to support UK Athletics age requirements.
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% of the route is on a well made path or tarmac and the remainder is grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are suitable year round; trail shoes are optional for extra grip on trail sections. The regular course may change subject to health and safety review and land owner approval.
Finishers who complete at least one lap receive a medal and distance pins for half marathon distance and above. All finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. An aid table and drinks are provided at the start and finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese, and vegan items. Toilets are available at The Last Hop and parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines. Final race instructions and number pick up information are sent by email before the event. Headphones are allowed. Events take place on public footpaths so participants should be considerate of other path users. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
