Saturn Running - Midweek Chasing Numbers July 2026
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge held at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. Participants choose their own distance with a minimum official finish of 3 km. The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames, is fully signed, and is approximately 60% on well-made path or tarmac with the remainder on grass and light trail. The trail sections can get muddy at certain times of year. Road shoes are suitable year-round; trail shoes are an option for extra grip.
A full lap measures 4.37 miles (about 7 km) but may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions and approvals. A 3 km and a 5 km turn point are provided within the lap to support compliance with UK Athletics age rules. Typical lap counts: three laps for a half marathon, six for a marathon, seven or more for an ultra. A 50 km distance is also available.
Finishers completing at least 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon and longer distances and are attached to the medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. Aid and drinks tables are provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
Race HQ offers toilets, changing facilities and a cafe. Bag drop is unmanned and items are left at the participant's risk. A large pay-on-exit carpark is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed. Events take place on public footpaths so participants are asked to be considerate of other path users.
