Remembrance Run 2026 - North
Saturn Running stages a Remembrance trail run in Durham, based at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club on the River Wear. The course runs alongside the river with views of the Cathedral and is fully signed. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules.
The event is a 6 hour 32 minute Time Challenge that allows participants to choose how many laps to complete. Key distance details:
- 3 km minimum distance, counted as part of a lap
- 5 km turn point within the lap
- 7 km full lap (4.37 miles) subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop
- Half Marathon (3 laps) and Marathon (6 laps)
- Ultra (7 or more laps) and 50 km option A two minute silence will be observed during the event; two minutes will be deducted from competitor times.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Remembrance medal. Distance pins are available for Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50 km and Ultra and are added to the medal ribbon. Aid and drinks tables are provided each lap, with a range of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Finishers receive a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is provided.
Toilets, a bar and showers are available at the rowing club; toilets are available from 8am. There is pay and display parking in the city centre and nearby streets; parking in the rowing club car park is not permitted. A non-secure bag drop is provided.
