About the race
The Sartell Monster Dash is a Monster-themed community running event organized by Deters Fitness at the Sartell Community Center in Sartell, MN. The event includes two separate races and on-site family activities.
Participants can enter one of these distances:
- 5K around the Sartell area, starting and finishing at the community center
- 1K family dash with a mascot warm up offered by O2B Kids
Registered 5K and 1K participants receive a Monster Dash event T-shirt if registered before October 17, a custom bib, and a swag bag. Every participant receives a medal. Top finishers will be awarded in male and female divisions with age categories 15 to 30 and 31 and up. Registration is for the race only; a post-race Trick or Treating event will be hosted near Lake Francis or inside the Sartell Community Center depending on weather and is free for attendees without separate registration.
Fees listed for the event range by age: $5 for children 6 years and under, $20 for ages 7 and up, and a family maximum of $55 for up to four people. Free parking is available. The organizer notes that there are no refunds. Race sponsorship for a fee includes placement of a sponsor logo on event shirts and on-site signage.
