Saratoga Stryders Fall Back 5 Mile Trail Race
The Saratoga Stryders Fall Back event is a 5 Mile trail race held in Saratoga Spa State Park on November 1, 2026. The course covers varied terrain including hills, ridges, single track, wider trails, paved sections, grassy areas, and a stair climb near SPAC. The route follows sections of the park’s Five Mile Trail and includes crossing guard and course marshal stations.
Race operations use the Roosevelt II Building for the pre-race gathering, finish area, awards, and day of race registration. Restrooms are available in the Wired Coffee Shop inside the Roosevelt II Building. The starting line is a short distance north of the finish, near the northwest corner of the Mall area.
Registration is limited to 200 entries. Online pre-registration opens August 3, 2026 and closes October 29, 2026; pre-registration is $30 plus processing fees. In-person and last-minute registration are cash or check only and cost $35. Saratoga Stryder members receive an online registration discount through October 25. No refunds will be issued.
Awards are provided for first male and female overall and for first male and female in each 10-year age group from 0-19 through 80+. There will be post-race door prize drawings open to runners and volunteers; winners must be present. Dogs are not permitted to run with participants. The use of portable music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. Net proceeds support the Saratoga Stryders 501(c)(3) organization.
