Event overview
The Santa’s Reindeer Run is a holiday-themed running event at Bolsa Chica State Beach - Lot 25 in Huntington Beach, held in December 2025. The event offers multiple distances and family options:

All finishers receive a medal and a holiday race shirt. The event provides free race-day photos, finish-line snacks, and a holiday costume contest. Santa is scheduled to appear at the start and finish for photos. Overall and age-group awards are given to the top three men and women in each distance.
Course and logistics
The course follows a flat, paved oceanfront path. Course layouts described by the organizer:
- 5K: out 1.56 miles, then back
- 10K: out 3.10 miles, then back
- Half Marathon: repeats the 10K loop and adds a 0.70-mile out-and-back to finish
The race is chip timed with live results. Water is available at three fully stocked stations plus fountains along the route. A time limit of 3 hours 25 minutes is listed. Organizers note bib pick-up and same-day registration are available. Parking information includes a $15 per vehicle fee at the main entrance (17851 Pacific Coast Highway) and a drop-off option near Warner Avenue and PCH; free public parking is noted in Sunset Beach behind Jack in the Box at 17243 Pacific Coast Highway.
