Event Overview
The Santa’s Reindeer Run is a holiday-themed sports event taking place at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, California. The race venue is located at Lot 25, situated near the intersection of Warner Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway. Participants run along the coast with views of the ocean.
Race Categories
A variety of distances are available to accommodate different participants:
- Half Marathon: A 13.2-mile chip-timed race.
- 10K Holiday Hustle: A 6.2-mile chip-timed race.
- 5K Jingle Dash: A 3.1-mile chip-timed race.
- Reindeer Romp 1-Miler: A one-mile course.
- Kids Candy Cane Dash: A 300-yard run for children.
- Santa Paws Doggie Parade: A 0.25-mile stroll for dogs.
Participant Amenities and Awards
All finishers in the running events receive a festive medal and access to finish-line treats. The event includes professional chip timing with live results and free race-day photos for participants. Santa Claus makes an appearance at the start and finish lines for photos.
Awards are presented to the top three men and women overall and within specific age groups for the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K distances. The 1-Miler features overall awards only, with no age group categories. A holiday costume contest is also held during the event.
Location and Parking
The event is staged at Bolsa Chica State Beach - Lot 25. Vehicle parking is available within the State Park for a fee of $15, payable by card.
