Event overview
The Santa Dash is a 5K family run/walk in Hastings, MI, held on December 6, 2025. The course begins at the Barry Community Enrichment Center (United Way) and finishes at the Hastings Pavilion across from the Hastings Library. The event route goes through downtown Hastings, then follows the River Walk on a candy cane shaped loop before returning to the pavilion.
Course, registration and donations
The registration fee is an unwrapped gift for a Barry County child or teen. All gifts will support the United Way Christmas program. Online registration asks participants to choose a boy, girl, or neutral gift. Pre-registration is available online at itsyourrace.com. Day-of registration is available, but shirts and santa hats may not be available for late registrants. All registered participants receive a santa hat when available. Participants who wear festive outfits are entered in a drawing for a costume prize. Prizes are awarded for first overall male and female and for the best holiday-themed costume.
