The inaugural Santa Cruz Marathon is a road and trail running event in Santa Cruz, California, scheduled for October 25, 2026. The course travels along the coast and through local towns, combining seaside streets, bluffs, and landmark areas.
The event route begins along the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, proceeds south through seaside streets and Capitola Village, then returns toward Santa Cruz for a beachside finish. Marathon entrants continue north onto the rugged trails and ocean vistas of Wilder Ranch State Park. The course highlights coastal views, surf spots, bluffs, redwoods, monarch habitat, and more than a century of local history.
