Savills Sandymount Night Run – October Edition
The Savills Sandymount Night Run is an evening coastal event on 20 October 2026 held at the edge of Sean Moore Park and Sandymount Strand in Dublin. The course is a measured loop that runs around Sean Moore Park and then along Sandymount Strand beside the sea with city lights visible in the distance.
Distances
- 5 km: one lap of the measured course
- 10 km: two laps of the measured course
The event uses chip timing. Entry includes a professionally measured course, chip timing, a finisher’s medal, a bespoke event running t-shirt, and finish-line refreshments and goodies. A bag drop is located beside the start/finish area and is open from 5:30pm; one small bag per participant is advised and a waterproof bag is recommended. Participants should use the baggage label on their race number.
Facilities and access notes: toilets are available at the start/finish; there are no showers or changing facilities. Water is provided for 10 km at approximately 5.5 km; the 5 km has no water stations on course but refreshments are available at the finish. Paper cups are used and should be disposed of in bins in Sean Moore Park. The course is not wheelchair accessible. The event has a 90 minute cut-off time.
Additional event details: parking along the seafront is limited and public transport is strongly advised; there is no event parking at Clanna Gael GAA club. Race numbers are posted for eligible Irish entries a week before the event; others must collect on race day. T-shirt distribution depends on registration timing and swaps are not guaranteed. Changes of distance require advance notice; name changes must be made before numbers are allocated; refunds are not available. Age restrictions follow Athletics Ireland legislation. The race brief is sent one week before and again the day before the event. Results are published on the organiser's website after the event.
