Savills Sandymount Night Run - October Edition
The Savills Sandymount Night Run takes place on Dublin Bay at the edge of Sean Moore Park and Sandymount Strand. The event is held in the evening and routes run beside the sea with city lights visible in the distance.
The course is a loop through Sean Moore Park and along Sandymount Strand. Participants on the 5 km route complete one lap; 10 km participants complete two laps. The course is fully marshalled and professionally measured, with chip timing for accurate results.
Entry includes a finisher’s medal, an event running t-shirt, and finish-line refreshments. Toilets are available at the start/finish; there are no toilets on the course. Water is available for 10 km runners at the 5.5 km point; 5 km runners receive refreshments at the finish line. Paper cups are used at aid stations and should be disposed of in bins at Sean Moore Park.
Practical information: a bag drop is located beside the start/finish area and accepts one small bag per participant; a waterproof bag is recommended. Parking along the seafront is limited and local car parks can be busy; bus routes 1 and 47 serve Irishtown Road / Bath Street. The course is not wheelchair accessible due to terrain. The event enforces a 90 minute cut-off. Race numbers may be posted or require collection depending on the registration timing, and the race brief is issued one week before the event and again the day before.
