Sandy Rogers and Scotty Richardson Memorial Scholarship 5K
This campus 5K on the University of South Carolina Aiken campus benefits the Sandy Rogers and Scotty Richardson Memorial Scholarship. The event uses a new course and is held in February 2027 at the USCA Convocation Center in Graniteville, SC. The run covers 5K (3.1 miles) and is open to participants of all ages.
Proceeds support a scholarship awarded by the sociology program with preference for students pursuing criminal justice who demonstrate financial need. The event is chip timed and awards medals to top finishers.
Multiple registration categories are offered with differing fees for general public, students, children, and certain groups. Some reduced entries do not include t-shirts or giveaways. Packet pickup is available the day before at the Starbucks inside the Student Activity Center on the USCA campus and on race morning near the Convocation Center. Race day parking is accessed from University Parkway onto Proud Pacer Drive with parking next to the baseball field.
The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine. Sponsorship inquiries were handled separately by the organizer; no contact details are included here. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
