Sandy Beaver Canal Days 2 Mile Run/Walk
A community running event held in Magnolia, Ohio on July 31, 2026, during the Sandy Beaver Canal Days celebration. The event is based at Magnolia Square (corner of Main and Carrollton Street) with the course beginning at the square and finishing on Brady Street.
Distances include:
- 2 Mile
- "Kit" Run (1 mile)
Registration opens March 1 and runs through July 30 for standard entries. Published fees include $17.85 for the 2 Mile entry ($15.00 plus processing), $7.25 for the Kit Run ($5.00 plus processing), and a Family of Four option priced at $54.95 ($50.00 plus processing). Race-day registration is available at the gazebo, and pre-registration is preferred.
Age divisions are specified for each event: the 2 Mile has age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over; the Kit Run has divisions for ages 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12.
Awards and participant benefits are organized after the race at the community park. The first 100 paid 2 Mile entrants receive a T-shirt, refreshments follow the race, door prizes require presence to collect, top overall male and female finishers and top age-group finishers are recognized, and Kit Run participants receive ribbons with medals for top age-group runners.
