Sandman Tri

The Sandman Triathlon will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Aptos, California. It is one of Santa Cruz County's oldest triathlons, having started in 1985. The event is a USA Triathlon (USAT)-sanctioned race.

The event serves as a fundraiser. Proceeds support local State Parks, lifeguard operations, and the Junior Lifeguard program. A portion of the funds provides scholarships for underprivileged children to receive water safety education.
