Sandhills Trail Race Series : Sesquicentennial State Park, Columbia SC
The Sandhills Trail Race Series is a multi-distance trail festival held at Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia, South Carolina. The event uses sandy singletrack, pine forest ridges, and lakeside sections on a looped course that runs through campsite areas and park trails. Organizers note potential updates to course, location, and schedule for the 2027 races.
Distances offered include:
- 7.5 mile fun loop of singletrack and lakeside views
- 25K two laps of the same loop
- 50K four laps of the loop
- 30 hour ultra with continuous timing and overnight lap opportunities
Included race features are chip timing with split tracking, a start/finish aid station, examples of aid station snacks, complimentary race photos, race bibs, finisher medals, event-themed giveaways and stickers, and a custom race tattoo for participants. The first 100 participants receive custom race socks. Participants are entered in the Age Group Trail Series for season awards.
Camping and day use options are available at the state park; the course traverses campsite locations. A park day-use fee may apply and state park passes are accepted.
