Sandhills Trail Race Series (30 Hour · 50K · 25K · 7.5 Mile)
The Sandhills Trail Race Series is a multi-distance trail and ultra festival held at Sesquicentennial State Park in Columbia, South Carolina (9564 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29223). The event runs across looped trail terrain through pine forest and along lake shorelines.
Distances offered include:
- 7.5 mile : one lap of singletrack with forest and lakeside views.
- 25K (2 laps) : two laps of the same loop.
- 50K (4 laps) : four laps of the same loop.
- 30 hour ultra : continuous timed event on the loop.
The course surface includes soft pine needle singletrack, occasional paved sections around the lake, and rolling hills. A fully stocked aid station is available at the start/finish every 7.5 miles; on-course water jugs are planned near a campground loop. The event is a cupless race, so participants should bring their own hydration gear.
Logistics and services described by the organizer include chip timing with split tracking and live results, complimentary race photos, packet pickup at Picnic Shelter #2, gear storage under Picnic Shelter #2, camping opportunities, and a special use parking fee collected during registration. All finishers receive a medal; belt buckles are listed for 100 mile finishers. Dogs and headphones are allowed. Registration opens September 1, 2026.
