About the race
The Zurich Maratón Donostia San Sebastián celebrates its 47th edition on 22 November 2026. The event includes two certified road races on a fully urban, flat course at sea level. Distances are officially measured and homologated by the national federation and World Athletics rules apply.

- Marathon 42,195 km
- 10K 10,00 km
Participation limits are set for each distance: the marathon is capped at 7 000 runners and the 10K at 4 500. Minimum ages apply: 18 years for the marathon and 16 years for the 10K; minors must submit parental authorization and identity documentation. The event uses a bib with an integrated chip; the bib must be worn visibly and runners must pass timing mats placed at several control points. Organizers set maximum race times: 5 hours for the marathon and 1 hour 10 minutes for the 10K, with intermediate cutoffs at specified kilometers. Anti doping controls follow World Athletics rules. Medical assistance is available on the course and at the finish. Registration is online with card payment and is subject to closing when places are filled.
