Zurich Maratón Donostia San Sebastián
Launched by a promoter committee formed by the Federación Atlética Guipuzcoana (F.A.G.) and UTE Donosti Eventos-RPM-Racing-Pruebas Deportivas, the Zurich Maratón Donostia San Sebastián takes place on 22 November 2026 as the 47th edition of the event.
The event comprises two certified, independent races:
- Marathon 42.195 km
- 10K 10.00 km
Both courses are official and certified by the RFEA with a WA-authorized measurer. The route is entirely urban, flat and at sea level. Race timing uses a mandatory chip integrated in the race bib; there are timing mats at the start, finish and key intermediate points including the Km 10, half marathon point and Km 30 for the marathon.
Participation is open to athletes of any nationality. Minimum ages are 18 years for the marathon and 16 years for the 10K; minors must provide parental authorization and documentation. Field sizes are limited to 7,000 for the marathon and 4,500 for the 10K. Registrations are processed online and remain open until 15 November while places last.
Bib and chip collection take place at the Expo Sports in the Kursaal on the Friday and Saturday before the race; bibs are not issued on race day. Water and feed stations are provided along the course, at least approximately every 5 km in the marathon and an intermediate station for the 10K. Maximum times are 5 hours for the marathon and 1 hour 10 minutes for the 10K.
