San Juan Run 5K & Walk 2026
The San Juan Run 5K & Walk is the fourth annual community run in Chicago that features a scenic 5K route through Paseo Boricua. The event offers adult and youth registration options. Adult registration is listed at $45 plus fees and processing, and youth registration for ages 12 and under is listed at $30 plus fees and processing. Registered participants receive an official race bib, a commemorative t shirt, and a finisher medal.
Packet pickup and early registration take place on the Friday and Saturday before race day at neighborhood locations on West Division Street, where attendees can collect bibs and shirts and explore local vendors, food, and music. Race day activities are centered near 2800 W. Division St., Chicago, and include check in, a community warm up, the 5K through Paseo Boricua, and a post race party with cultural performances including live Bomba, Afro Caribbean drummers, and a Vejigante Parade. Medals and awards are presented to top finishers.
Proceeds support the Tu Casa Project. The project funds programs such as youth and young adult education, senior engagement and luncheons, entrepreneur education and skill building, food bag distribution, and community cultural events.
