Samson's Revenge
Samson's Revenge is a trail running event on May 22, 2027 at YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, CO, held at about 8,000 feet elevation. The course is mostly runnable singletrack and is generally snow free with some mud and wet low spots.
Distances offered:
- 10K : lap 1 course; Fractel hat and wool finisher socks.
- 25K : lap 1 plus laps 2–6; drop bag space at start/finish.
- 50K : lap 1 plus laps 2–6; 6,000 ft gain; drop bag space at start/finish.
The course is marked with pink flags, reflective tree markers, and Running Wild directional signs. Marshals in pink vests are posted at two key locations for the first two laps. The course crosses active YMCA roads, including three dirt road crossings and two paved road crossings; the event advises making eye contact with drivers. Participants should expect other trail users and yield to horses.
Aid is available at Bible Point aid station and at the start/finish for the longer distances. Aid station provisions include water, Tailwind, Coke, fruit, and packaged salty and sweet snacks. All races are cupless; a reusable SpeedCup is available for purchase for those who need one. Registered runners receive a Fractel hat; finishers receive SockGuy wool socks.
