SAM Walk 2026
SAM Walk 2026 is a community walk hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex County Branch (CMHA-WECB) and community partners to highlight suicide awareness, prevention, and life promotion. The event takes place on September 27, 2026 and is organized at three locations across Windsor-Essex.
The walk offers two route distances and site-specific routes. The first 250 registrants will receive a swag bag. Registration fees shown for each location are CA$10. Fundraising is optional and comes with tiered rewards for participants who raise funds.
Fundraising reward levels:
- CA$100 for a free safeTALK registration
- CA$500 for a free Mental Health First Aid Essentials registration
- CA$750 for a free Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training registration
Event locations and course references include St. Clair College SportsPlex in Windsor with the Herb Gray Parkway, Atlas Tube Centre in Belle River with the Earthwalk Trail, and St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Leamington with Seacliff Park.
