Salute to Our Veterans 5K - Hoboken
The 5th Annual Salute to Our Veterans 5K is organized by Habitat of Greater Newark and takes place in Hoboken, New Jersey on October 18, 2026. The event honors veterans and coincides with Habitat of Greater Newark's 40 years of work building homes and supporting neighborhoods across Essex, Hudson, and Union counties. The exact waterfront location will be announced.
Participation supports Habitat's local programs, including building affordable homes, preserving homeownership through critical repairs, providing food security, restoring identification documents, and connecting veterans, seniors, and families with community resources. Following the race, a Community Resource Village will feature local nonprofits, financial education, veteran services, health and wellness resources, and volunteer opportunities.
Registration opens July 8, 2026 and closes October 16, 2026. The registration fee is $45. The event offers a 5K run/walk and is open to all ages and abilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
