Salute Red, White, and Blue
Salute Red, White, and Blue is a road running event held at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, Mississippi with start and finish in front of the Mississippi Armed Forces Museum. The event date is November 7, 2026. It offers in-person and virtual options.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 11 miles
- 11K
- 5K
- Virtual event for 5K, 11K, or 11 miles
All in-person courses are on paved roads. All finishers receive a medallion. Packet pick up is available on the days before the event and on race morning at Fleet Feet Hattiesburg and at the Camp Shelby South Gate Armory locations listed by the organizer. Entrance to Camp Shelby for athletes is by bib number at the South Gate; companions arriving separately must use the visitor center and show valid identification for vetting. The parking area is a short walk from the start area.
A finisher gathering is held on the parade field at the finish. Food items such as grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, and a variety of beverages will be provided for athletes. A pop up bar will offer alcoholic beverages to persons 21 and older. The parade field is an open grass area where towels, blankets, or chairs may be useful.
The race supports the Mississippi Youth ChalleNGe Academy at Camp Shelby, a National Guard led program for at-risk youth aimed at producing graduates with values, skills, education, and self-discipline.
