Event overview
Salty 7 takes place on October 18, 2025, in Cole Harbour Heritage Park, Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia (255 Bissett Road). The event is organized by Ultimate Trail Racing and is the third annual running of the Salty 7. The race offers collectible coasters for all finishers, snacks, and prize awards.
Course, distances and format
The course follows curving gravel trails along the ocean, crosses hidden river bridges, and includes root-filled, more technical trails through deeper forest. Distances are offered as looped laps around the park:
- 7 km (one loop)
- 14 km (Double, two loops)
- 21 km (Triple - Half Marathon, three loops)
One-loop description: about 80% gravel and 20% running trail on rolling hills.
Registration, fees and fundraising
Registration fees are stated as inclusive of mandatory charges. Listed entry prices in the source are approximately $45.94 for the 7 km, $51.40 for the Double, and $56.85 for the Triple - Half Marathon. A team fundraising option is available; teams receive custom bibs and prizes for donation milestones. Funds raised will go to Halifax Search & Rescue and Cole Harbour Parks & Trails Association.
