About the race
Salty 7 is a trail running event held on October 17, 2026, at Cole Harbour Heritage Park in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia (255 Bissett Road). The course follows curving gravel trails along the ocean, crosses hidden river bridges, and continues onto root filled, more technical trails through deeper forested sections.
One loop through Cole Harbour Heritage Park is described as about 80% gravel and 20% running trail on rolling hills. The event is presented in multiple loop options that allow participants to choose a shorter or longer distance on the same course.
Distances offered include:
- 7 km: one loop, 80% gravel and 20% trail, rolling hills
- Double: two loops of the same course
- Triple (Half Marathon): three loops, approximately a half marathon distance
This is the fourth Salty 7 event in the organizer's series. All finishers receive collectible coasters, and the event includes snacks and prizes for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
