Salmagundi Trail Race
Salmagundi Trail Race takes place on November 7, 2026, at Hamilton Pool Road near the Pedernales River in the Texas Hill Country, just outside Austin, Texas. The event is organized by Trail Roots Running and includes multiple trail distances, course maps, and elevation details.
- 5K - 180 ft gain, no aid stations
- 10K - 270 ft gain
- 13.1 - 700 ft gain
- 26.2 - 1400 ft gain (two 13.1 loops)
- 50K - 1670 ft gain (two 13.1 loops plus the 10K)
The route combines double track, single track, and jeep trail, with rolling hills, wide trail sections, and overlooks of the Pedernales River. Course ratings and maps are provided for each distance. Aid station information is available in an aid stations distance chart.
Amenities and site rules are listed for participants: day use is $5 per person cash only and participant park entry is covered by the organizer, tent camping is not allowed, portable toilets and park restrooms are available, and pets must be on leash. The post-race area features live music and a local food truck.
Awards include overall top three finishers male and female, Masters (50+) first place male and female, 5K and Ruck first place overall male and female. All finishers receive a custom finisher award.
