Saint Martin's Country Run
Saint Martin's Country Run is the 46th annual road race held in Yorkville, Dearborn County. The event features an out and back 5K (3.1 miles) run on asphalt roads from St. Martin's Church across rolling hills. Split times are provided at each mile, and signs mark both kilometers and miles along the course.
Modern restroom facilities are available in the parish hall before and after the race. Water is supplied at the start and finish area and at points during the course. A fried chicken dinner is offered after the event, and the overall male and female winners each receive a voucher for a free chicken dinner.
The organizer notes local construction affecting access. For those coming from the south (Kentucky, Lawrenceburg, etc.), Yorkridge Road is closed at the bridge in Guilford; recommended routing includes continuing on Highway 1 to Dover, then using North Dearborn Road to Yorkridge. For those coming from the north (Cincinnati, Brookville, etc.), Indiana 1 is closed just north of Dover and several detour routes are available such as State Route 46 to Legion or routes via Sawmill and North Dearborn. Registration opens 07/28/2025 and closes 07/13/2026; the registration fee is $20.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
