Sailing Thru The Shores 5K Run/Walk
Sailing Thru The Shores is a community 5K event held on Sunday May 24, 2026 in St Clair Shores, Michigan as part of Memorial Day festivities. The common start and finish is at the intersection of Harper and 11 Mile Road, and the course is an out-and-back along Harper Road following the parade route. The course is described as flat.
The event offers two participation options: an on-site 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K, each covering 3.1 Miles. The on-site 5K has a one hour time limit before the parade closure; participants still on course at that time will be directed to move to the sidewalk for the remainder of the route and may be disqualified if they do not comply.
Packet pick-up and late registration take place at the Wheat Education Campus Building at 27575 Harper Avenue in St Clair Shores. Registration opens April 17, 2026 and closes May 23, 2026. The registration fee is $35.00. Tech shirts are available for purchase while supplies last for $10.
All finishers receive a medal. Snacks and water are provided at the conclusion of the 5K. Proceeds from the event support the St Clair Shores Scholarship Fund established to assist St Clair Shores scholar athletes moving on to higher education.
