Rylee's Run/Walk 5K
The Rylee's Run/Walk 5K is an annual running and walking event held at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis, Tennessee. Established in 2012, the event serves as a memorial and a fundraiser for the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Neuroscience Institute and NICU. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options, allowing individuals to join from any location.
The primary event is a 5K run/walk open to adults and children. For those who cannot attend the physical race or complete the full distance, there is a "Spirit Runner" registration option which includes an event shirt without participation in the race. Participants who register by June 1st are guaranteed to receive an event shirt at packet pick-up.
Available distances and categories:
- 5K Run/Walk (In-person)
- Kids 5K (Ages 12 and under)
- Virtual 5K (Join from any location)
The in-person event features a post-race gathering with pasta, cookies, beer, and chocolate milk for children. For the safety of participants, the Mike Rose Soccer Complex restricts vehicle entry and exit during the peak of the event. Packet pick-up is available on the Friday before the race at a local running store and on the day of the event at the soccer complex. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
