Event Overview
This is the second edition of Ryan & Noah's April Fools' Day 5K, a running event held on April 1 in Niagara Falls, New York. It takes place at Veterans Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara.
Course and Location
The 5K course is USATF-certified (#NY18006JJ). It starts and finishes in a large parking lot adjacent to the Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center. The route uses mostly asphalt, with a section on a packed gravel trail through a woodland area. One water stop is located at the midpoint, and bottled water is available at the finish line.
Registration and Fees
Online registration is available until the start of the race. The registration fee is $30 before March 1, increasing to $35 afterward. There is also a mail-in registration option. Participants who register by March 24 are guaranteed a race t-shirt in their requested size; a limited extra supply will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Packet pickup and race-day registration occur at the Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center from 4:30 PM.
Post-Race and Awards
After the race, Favorite's Pizza will be served at the activity center. An awards ceremony includes music. Trophies are awarded to the first overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female runners in categories from 14 and under to 80 and older.
Logistics
Timing uses professional RFID technology by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated in real-time and can be accessed via mobile app or website. Ample free parking is available at Veterans Park. The event's cancellation policy states there are no refunds; organizers may postpone or offer a virtual alternative in certain circumstances.
