Labor Your Legs 5K (Memorial)
This event on September 7, 2026, is centered on a timed 5K run and walk with a separate Family and Kids Fun Run. The location is Parkway Heights United Methodist Church, 2420 Hardy St, Hattiesburg, MS 39401. Online registration opens July 14 and closes September 4; a discounted no-shirt registration option is available through August 18.

The 5K course runs through The Oaks District of the Avenues of Hattiesburg and is described as smooth with a few inclines and declines. Traffic monitors will be positioned at turns and specific locations. One aid station on course will provide water and fuel. The race is timed.
Awards for the 5K Run include overall 1st male and female, master and grandmaster, and age group awards (1st–3rd male and female) for ages 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. The 5K Walk awards overall 1st–3rd male and female. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations by August 18; additional shirts may be purchased for $15 with a $2 surcharge for 2XL and 3XL.
