Rutland 10km
The Rutland 10km is a road race around Rutland Water with a start and finish at Whitwell. The route follows lakeside paths through parkland and offers views across Rutland Water. The course distance is 10 km (6.22 miles) with 77 m of ascent and 77 m of descent. The surface is tarmac and is described as a flat road race, though some sections may be damp.
Entry includes a finisher medal, feed stations, full medical support, chip timing, and free competitor parking at the Whitwell site. Feed stations are located at 5 km and at the finish. Timing is by chip and a competitor’s race time is recorded when they cross the timing mat.
The event uses self seeding and wave starts. A race briefing and event guide are published online about one week before the event, and a short recap is given before the first wave. Prize giving takes place at the finish line and may be moved earlier if winners are present.
On-site facilities include permanent toilet blocks, additional toilets at the registration building, and cafe facilities offering hot and cold food and drink.
