Event details
Runway For Wildlife is a formal-wear fun run taking place in Melbourne’s east on 8 February 2026. The event is a 5km fun run where participants are encouraged to wear formal attire such as suits or dresses. The program includes a formal fashion show warm-up, a safety briefing, post-run refreshments, photo opportunities, and awards for best dressed. Participants who register before 1 December are eligible for exclusive event swag. A small registration fee applies to cover operating costs.
Purpose and fundraising
The event raises funds for Wildlife Victoria’s Travelling Vet Service, a mobile veterinary team that provides urgent, on-site care to sick, injured, and orphaned native animals across the state. The organiser states that 100% of funds donated to runners is directed to the Travelling Vet Service. Participants can create personal fundraising pages during registration and there are prizes for top fundraisers. Donations can also be made separately to support the service.
