Run The Runway 5K - Niagara Falls

Run The Runway is a 5K road race held at Niagara Falls International Airport in Niagara Falls, NY. The course takes place on an active airport runway and the runway will be lit as the sun sets. The race uses the tarmac adjacent to the terminal and airport officials will guide participants onto the runway course.

Online registration remains open up to race day. Registration fees are listed as $35 with a higher fee on race day. The first 250 registered participants will receive a custom finisher medal. Participants who register before 8/5/26 at 9am are guaranteed an official event shirt in their requested size; a small quantity of extra shirts will be available afterward while supplies last. A limited supply of glowsticks will be provided while supplies last.

Packet pickup and race day registration take place inside the airport terminal. An early packet pickup option is planned for the Thursday or Friday night before the race. All participants must clear the TSA checkpoint and show appropriate identification before entering the runway area; backpacks are not allowed past the TSA checkpoint for security reasons. There is free parking at the airport.

Net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Niagara Falls Boys & Girls Club. Custom trophies will be presented to the first place overall male and female 5K finishers and age group award decals will be given to the top three male and female runners in each listed age category. Professional timing and finish line services will use Jaguar Electronic RFID timing provided by Race Management Solutions. Results and finish line photos are available through ITSYourRace platforms and related race result services. The presenting sponsor is Greenlight Networks. The event has a no refund policy and may be postponed, rescheduled, or offered as a virtual alternative if organizers deem it necessary for public safety or other reasons.
