Cannock Chase Running Festival
The Cannock Chase Running Festival stages road and trail races at Cannock Chase Forest in the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The event uses mixed surfaces, including dirt trails, gravel and tarmac, and the route is described as undulating. Each mile is marked with signposts and course helpers are present to guide participants toward the finish.
The event village, including the start and finish, is positioned at a concert site within the forest that has previously hosted major music acts. The Forestry England site will host the 2026 Commonwealth Games mountain biking events. The venue is about 20 miles from central Birmingham and is just outside Stafford, making it accessible by car.
The festival is organised by Goodwood and lists a number of event partners and sponsors, including RunThroughKit, SportsShoes, Runner Retreats, Brooks, Science in Sport and Solgar. The event supports charity partners including Midlands Air Ambulance and Newlife, the charity for disabled children.
