Runtastic DINO
The Runtastic DINO takes place in the historic area of Vernal, Utah, a region known as Dinosaurland due to its proximity to a large quarry of Jurassic dinosaur bones. This event features multiple course lengths that navigate through the local landscape, with all races concluding at Uintah High School.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
- 0.5 Miles (Kids Half Mile)
The 13.1 Miles distance follows a point to point route that begins at the top of Dry Fork Canyon. This specific course is a downhill route designed for speed as it moves toward the finish line. The 3.1 Miles event starts at Maeser Elementary School and also finishes at the high school. For younger participants, the 0.5 Miles race is held at the high school grounds in Vernal. Participants often choose to wear costumes during the event to match the prehistoric theme of the location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
