Running With The Rapids - Niagara Falls, NY
The event is a community running and walking event in downtown Niagara Falls scheduled for August 16, 2026. It offers three distance options and will start and finish on the New York State Park Trail near the Great Lakes 360 visitor center at the Aquarium of Niagara. The courses use out-and-back routes along the Niagara Falls State Park pedestrian path, with views along the route.

Packet pickup and race-day registration take place the morning of the event at The Archives Pub, which is a short walk from the start/finish area. Online registration remains open until race day; participants who register by August 7 are guaranteed an event shirt in their requested size while supplies last. A virtual registration option is available; virtual entries include shipping of the event shirt within the Continental USA and allow participants to record a 5K or 10K during August.
Professional electronic timing will be used and results are posted through the event timing platform. A post-race celebration and awards presentation are held at The Archives Pub after the event. Net proceeds from the event will be donated to the Child Advocacy Center of Niagara. The event is held in memory of a long-serving Niagara Falls Police Department detective.
