Running Scared 5K - Canal Winchester
The 10th Annual Running Scared 5K is a costume themed run/walk held on October 24, 2026, at Hanners Park in Canal Winchester, Ohio. The event is presented by Nationwide Children's Hospital and includes awards for the best costumes.
Participants receive a 2026 race shirt and a finisher medal. Healthy treats are provided at the finish line. The event supports the local community: one dollar from every 5K registration will be donated to 3D Living, a Canal Winchester nonprofit focused on peace, purpose, and wellness through a holistic approach.
Following the 5K, the free Canal Wellness Fest presented by Diley Ridge Medical Center offers family friendly activities and wellness vendors. Diley Ridge staff will be on site to provide mini first aid classes, blood pressure checks, and Narcan distribution.
Registration opens August 16, 2026. Early bird individual registration is $37 through August 31, 2026; individual registration is $42 through October 2, 2026; and regular individual registration is $47 starting October 3, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
