Running Scared 5K and 13K - Eugene
Running Scared is a Halloween themed running event on 10/11/2026 at Kiwanis Park, 301 Cheshire Ave, Eugene, OR 97401. The program offers in-person and virtual race options and multiple registration choices including versions without a shirt.

In-person and virtual formats are offered. Virtual participants may run where and when they choose, submit a time, and receive mailed race swag. Most in-person participants receive a long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal; some registration options omit the shirt.
The Deadly Double combines the 5K and 13K for an 18K total. The Deadly Double option requires completing the 5K then returning within 30 minutes to run the 13K. Deadly Double finishers receive a separate finisher medal in addition to the race shirt.
Awards are presented for overall top three male and female finishers in both the 5K and 13K. Additional overall awards are given in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters categories. Age group awards are presented to the top three athletes in each traditional five-year age group for both distances. Special recognition is given to the top three male and female Deadly Double finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
