Running Scared 5K & 13K - Eugene
The Running Scared event in Eugene is a Halloween themed race held at Kiwanis Park with courses run along the river on a paved river trail. The course is described as flat and fast, with start and finish located at Kiwanis Park.

- Deadly Double - complete both races
- Virtual race option
All registered participants (except those who choose no shirt) receive a long sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. Participants registered by October 1 are guaranteed race swag in their selected size; after that date items are available while supplies last.
Awards are presented for competitive placings. Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers are recognized in both the 5K and 13K. Additional overall awards are given to Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters categories. The top three athletes in each traditional five year age group receive awards in both distances. Special recognition is given to the Top Three Male and Female finishers of the Deadly Double.
A virtual race option allows participants to complete their chosen distance remotely, submit results online, and be eligible for awards and event swag. The event encourages costume participation as part of its seasonal theme. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
