Running Scared 5K & 13K - Eugene
Running Scared takes place on October 11, 2026 at Kiwanis Park, 301 Cheshire Ave, Eugene, OR 97401. The event offers both in person and virtual formats and includes multiple race options across several distances.
- 5K - Scaredy Cat and No Shirt options; virtual option available.
- 13K - Heart Pounding and No Shirt options; virtual option available.
- 18K Deadly Double - Complete the 5K then the 13K for an 18K total; special finisher recognition.
All in person participants receive a long sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. Virtual participants can run at their chosen location and will receive mailed race swag after submitting results. The Deadly Double earns an additional Deadly Double finisher medal in addition to the race shirt.
Awards are presented for the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in both the 5K and 13K, as well as Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories. The top three athletes in each traditional five year age group receive awards for both distances. The Deadly Double also includes special recognition for the Top Three Male and Female finishers who complete both races.
