Running meets Rhythm v5 Mead & Honey Festival 2026
Running meets Rhythm is a Silent Disco Run held on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at the Bardolino Artists Retreat in Mbombela. The event uses wireless headsets and a live DJ broadcast from a music vehicle; participants should remain within approximately 300 metres of the music vehicle to keep their headsets connected.
The route is a vibrant 5 km out-and-back along Hermansburg Road, starting and finishing at the Bardolino Artists Retreat. The group will pause roughly every kilometre to regroup and ensure no one is left behind. The event follows a bee-themed concept; dressing in yellow and black and wearing bee-inspired costumes is encouraged.
Participants are advised to bring running shoes, a water bottle and something warm for afterwards. The run is followed by the Honey & Mead Festival at the same venue, which includes food and local stalls. Organisers state a recommended minimum age of 5 years. Walkers are not permitted and prams may be challenging to accommodate. Participation is at the participant’s own risk; ticket refunds may be issued if the event is cancelled, excluding booking fees.
