Course and race logistics
Courses are out-and-back on the beach path. The 5K route is one lap for the 5K and two laps for the 10K. The 5-mile route is used twice for the 10-Miler. The Half Marathon combines two laps of the 5-mile route and one lap of the 5K route. The beach path is an open course and users other than runners will be encountered. Runners are asked to stay on the right side of the path; cyclists use the left side. Turns are marked with chalk, runner signs, and flags.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station at Belmont Pier and an aid station at the finish with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. First aid kits are at each station and staff have CPR training. Gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. Parking in the lot costs $2 per hour; street parking is free. A limited early bib pick-up is offered the day before at Sports Basement Long Beach.
