Event Details
The Running for the Rescues event takes place on March 29, 2026 in Long Beach, California. The start and finish location is Claremont Beach at 5400 E Ocean Blvd. The event offers four distances: 5k, 10k, 10 Miler, and Half Marathon.
Course Information
All courses are out-and-back routes along a beach path, which is an open course shared with pedestrians and cyclists. Runners are asked to stay on the right side of the path. The Half Marathon course combines two laps of the 5-mile route and one lap of the 5k route.
On-Course Support
A fully stocked water station is located along the course. The finish line has an aid station with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Turn points are marked with chalk, signs, and flags.
Additional Information
Bib pick-up is available on the Saturday before the race at Sports Basement Long Beach. On race day, a gear check is provided at the registration tent, but participants should bring their own bag. All finishers receive a race medal. First-place medals are awarded to the overall first male and female in each distance. Free race photos are provided after the event.
