The Hare Challenge Day 1 is scheduled for Saturday, 17 January 2026 and is organised by Running Events Devon. The event is a timed multi-lap challenge on a scenic route that uses an old disused train line. Each lap is 5.3 km and follows an out-and-back course. The surface is a mix of off-road and paved sections and the route is described as undulating.

Event details

There are two start options with different permitted time limits: one option has a 7-hour cutoff and the other has a 5-hour cutoff. Participants who complete at least one lap within the permitted time are classed as finishers and may collect a medal. If the event reaches capacity, later entrants will receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day.

Maximum entries are 70. Entries close on 15/01/2026. Minimum age is 18 years. Entry fees are: Affiliated £32.00; Unattached £34.00; Affiliated No Perks (no medal or goodies) £21.00; Unattached No Perks (no medal or goodies) £23.00.
