Running Events Devon - Choo-Choo Challenge 2026
The Choo-Choo Challenge takes place on Monday 31 August 2026 in Bridestowe, at Station Road, EX20 4HF. The event is an eight hour timed challenge on an undulating out-and-back route that follows an old disused train line. Each lap measures 5.3 km.
The organiser operates a turn-up-get-going system that allows participants to start during the event window and complete as many laps as they can within the permitted time. Runners and walkers who complete their final lap within the time limit are classed as finishers and may collect a medal. If the event reaches its capacity, later entrants will receive a bespoke medal selected from those available on the day.
Event capacity is limited to 70 entrants. Entries close on 27 August 2026. Minimum age for entry is 18 years. The course surface includes off-road and paved sections.
