Event Overview
The Choo-Choo Challenge is an 8-hour timed running event taking place on Monday, 31 August 2026. The event is held at a venue in Bridestowe, Devon, situated on Station Road. The course follows a scenic out and back route along a disused train line. The surface is categorized as a mix of off-road and paved sections, with undulating terrain.
Participation and Format
This event utilizes a flexible start system where participants may begin their run at any time during the morning, provided they complete their final lap by the designated afternoon cutoff. The challenge is open to both runners and walkers of all abilities.
The course consists of 5.3 km laps. Participants can choose to complete as many laps as they wish within the time limit. Recognized distances depend on the number of laps completed:

Logistics
The event has a maximum capacity of 70 entrants. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter. Registration options include standard entries with a medal and goodies, as well as a reduced-rate option without these perks. Individuals who enter after the capacity is reached are offered an alternative bespoke medal from available stock on the day of the event.
