Event overview
The Choo-Choo Challenge is a timed running and walking event held on Monday 31 August 2026 at a new venue on Station Road, Bridestowe (EX20 4HF). The course uses an old disused train line and is an out-and-back lap of 5.3 km. The route is described as undulating and partly off-road with paved sections. The event format allows participants to complete multiple laps; entrants may finish as few as one lap or up to 14 laps within the permitted time and collect a medal if they complete their final lap within that time.
Entry and logistics
Maximum entry is 70 participants. Entries close 27/08/2026 and the minimum age is 18 years. Entry fees are:
- Affiliated: £32.00
- Unattached: £34.00
- Affiliated No Perks (no medal or goodies): £21.00
- Unattached No Perks (no medal or goodies): £23.00
Places are strictly limited; if capacity is reached, later entrants will receive a bespoke medal chosen from those available on the day. Accommodation nearby is suggested at the Fox & Hounds, which offers rooms, a bunkhouse and camping, and food. Organiser terms and full event conditions are provided by the event organiser.
