Running Bear at the Rocks
Running Bear at the Rocks is a community 5K event held on September 26, 2026, at the Bear Rocks Community Club on Big Springs Road in Acme, Pennsylvania. The event offers a main 5K Run/Walk plus a separate 5K category for children.
Registration periods shown include a lower fee earlier in the season and a higher fee closer to the event. Registrants who register by September 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Pricing examples listed for the main 5K show a lower tier at $25 plus processing and taxes and a later tier at $30 plus processing and taxes. Youth pricing examples show a lower tier at $15 plus processing and taxes and a later tier at $20 plus processing and taxes.
Proceeds from the event are designated to raise funds for the Bullskin Two Volunteer Fire Company and for the building and grounds of the Bear Rocks Community Club.
Awards are given overall for male and female Run/Walk finishers in first through third places. Age-group awards are also listed. Age groups include: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
