Running Against ALS

Running Against ALS is an annual fundraising race held on June 14, 2026 at Three Creeks Metro Park in southeast Columbus, Ohio. The event in Groveport lists both in-person and virtual options and includes individual and team formats. It is the fourth edition of the event.

The race was originally established to benefit a Columbus police officer who was diagnosed with ALS on February 14, 2022. The event now continues in his memory and directs support to other people living with ALS. For 2026 all proceeds will be donated to ALS United Ohio’s grant program. ALS United Ohio provides no-cost services and advocacy for people with ALS and their families, including support groups, durable medical equipment loans, hands-free home programs, one-on-one case management, and grants to help cover costs related to an ALS diagnosis.

Registration for the in-person and virtual events opened on January 7 and closed on June 13 according to the event information. The event offers multiple distance options and a relay format with teams of three where each member runs a portion of the 15K distance.
