Runnin' To The Rig

Runnin' To The Rig is a campus run and walk at Bakersfield High School on February 20, 2027. The event is presented as a fundraiser to support the school and features on-campus routes and a separate small-group campus tour.
The program includes a 5K run and a 2K walk. Race entries include separate youth and reduced-fee options. Medals are awarded to the first 200 finishers in the main 5K and to the first 100 finishers in the kids 5K. Race T-shirts are available for purchase for an additional fee if ordered by February 4.
A private, small-group campus tour is offered as an additional ticketed experience. The tour is led by a 1993 alumnus together with the current Bakersfield High School principal and visits behind-the-scenes locations such as the stadium tunnel, the culinary classroom in Ludden Hall, the backstage/green room and band room of Harvey Auditorium, and the archiving room. The tour has a separate registration fee and limits group size.
Packet and T-shirt pickup take place at the stadium parking lot near Griffith Stadium on the day before and the day of the event. Registration windows and entry fees vary by category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
