The event supports the RunforDylan Foundation, which was created by the family after a youth suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while at cross country practice. The foundation focuses on cardiac arrest awareness, funding athlete heart screenings, and placing Automated External Defibrillators in local parks.
On-site features include cardiac arrest awareness education, vendors, race awards and live timing results. Awards are given for overall male and female, master male and female, and multiple age-group categories ranging from 10 and under through 70 and over. Plaques are presented for overall and master winners.
Registration details and pricing vary by category. Early registration guarantees an event T-shirt if received by October 17, 2026; shirts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis after that date. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2026 at Blanton Elementary School. Event parking is available at Harpool Middle School, 9601 Stacee Lane, Argyle.
