Runaway Train is an event in Shepton Mallet that combines a cross country running race, a family walk and a town centre boxty feast. The event celebrates the Windsor Hill railway path by linking a trail race with food in Market Place.
The running routes are described as scenic; they take in woods, valleys, distant hills, dark tunnels and high viaducts and finish in the heart of Shepton Mallet.

- 6 mile running race
- 3 mile running race
