Event details
The Happy Mother's Day race takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Belmont Shores, Long Beach. The race meeting area is at the start of the beach path near 54th Place, at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90803. Parking is free in the nearby residential area; the beach parking lot uses a pay-by-ticket machine. Registration is available through PayPal or Active.com; participants must register with one method only. After PayPal registration an email is sent within 12 hours to finalize registration. Transfers are handled by contacting the race organizer and there is a no-refund policy. Volunteers may receive a free race entry by contacting the organizer. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit; requests for additional time are handled by contacting the organizer.
Course and services
This is an open course on the beach path with marked out-and-back loops. An aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Distances offered:
- 5k
- 10k (2 x 5k loops)
- 15k (3 x 5k loops)
- Half marathon (3 x 4.36 mi loop)
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12-24 hours, and an assortment of snacks.
