The Reindeer Run takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in Belmont Shores, Long Beach. Distances offered are:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
- Half marathon
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, posted results within 12-24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. The event notes a no refund policy; transfers are allowed by request. The half marathon has a 3:15 time limit and an option for an early start if more time is needed.
Course and logistics
The course is an open beach-path route with out-and-back loops that are marked. Specific route formats listed are a 5k out-and-back, the 10k as 2 x 5k loops, the 15k as 3 x 5k loops, and the half marathon as 3 x 4.36-mile loops. An aid station is located at the turnaround at the start/finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and energy gels.
The event meeting point is at the tables closest to 54th Place at the start of the beach path (5400 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA). Parking is free in the residential area; the beach parking lot is paid by ticket machine. Participants are asked to be courteous to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists on the path.
