Run Your Mutt 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk/Run
Monroe County Friends of Animals (MCFA) is sponsoring the third annual Run Your Mutt event at Kefauver Park in Madisonville, Tennessee. The event offers two course options on a paved path around the park lake: a 5K and a 1 mile walk or run. Dogs are encouraged to participate but are not required.
All dogs must be on leash at all times. Multiple water stations will be available for both humans and dogs, and poop bags will be provided. Kefauver Park remains open to other visitors on the event date, so participants may encounter other runners or walkers on the lake trail.
Event timing is provided by East Coast Adventures. Medals will be awarded to all participants, with special recognition for the top three male and top three female finishers. Every registered participant receives an event T shirt and a SWAG bag. Those who adopted their dog from the Monroe County Animal Shelter will receive a special Alumni Bandana for their dog.
Registration opens March 20, 2026 and closes September 10, 2026. The registration fee is $40. Registrations received after August 24, 2026 may not receive an event T shirt due to ordering lead times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
