Gone Loco - Eureka Trail, Athens, TN - February 8, 2026
Gone Loco is a trail endurance event held on the Eureka Trail in Athens, Tennessee. The event offers multiple distance options and a ruck/weighted vest division on a converted rail-trail that runs through woodlands, rural areas, and the community of Mashburn toward Englewood.

- 33 Miler (55k)
- 11 Miler
- 11 Mile Ruck (weighted vest division)
The course is described as fine mesh gravel, flat and very runnable, following a former railroad bed. Organizers list the course as marathon certified (TN25001MS). The route is open to bicycles and horses year-round and includes road crossings and rolling terrain.
Race support includes two fully stocked aid stations, located at the start/finish and the turnaround in Englewood. Pacers are allowed on the 33 Miler after the first lap and may use aid station supplies; pacers are not used for the 11 Miler. The 11 Mile Ruck division specifies weight requirements by category and requires an official weigh-in before the event; finishers receive a patch only after weigh-in verification. The race has a time cutoff that gives 33 Miler entrants 10 hours to finish. Organizers state that refunds are not available and that on-course livestream coverage will be provided.
