Course and support
The route follows the Eureka Trail, a rails-to-trails conversion of fine mesh gravel. The trail is mostly flat, crosses a few back country roads, and winds through woodlands, rural areas, and the community of Mashburn before ending near Englewood. The course is open to bicycles and horses year round. There are two aid stations: one at the start/finish and one at the turnaround in Englewood. Pacers are allowed on the 33-mile race after the first lap and may use aid station supplies.
Ruck division and logistics
The 11-mile ruck division requires weighed packs. Weight requirements: men 30 lb dry, women 15 lb dry, boys under 15 - 20 lb, girls under 15 - 10 lb. A weigh-in is required before the event; no weigh-in means no finisher patch. Packet pickup is available on the day of the race and the evening before. Swag orders require registration by January 7 for guaranteed sizing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
