Run Your Heart Out : Long Beach, 02/06/2027
This event takes place at Junipero Beach, 1 Junipero Ave, Long Beach, CA 90803. Multiple race distances are offered.
- 5K - one lap of the 5k route
- 10K - two laps of the 5k route
- 10 Mile - four laps of the 5 mile route
- Half Marathon - two laps of the 5 mile route plus one 5k lap
Courses are out and back on the beach path, which is an open course shared with other users. Runners are asked to stay on the right side of the path for pedestrians while cyclists use the left side. Turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station and an aid station at the finish with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Each station has a first aid kit, and crew members have received CPR training.
Logistics and race procedures include wearing the race bib on the front of the shirt for time tracking and photo identification. A gear check is available at the registration tent; participants should bring their own bag. Parking in the lot costs $2 per hour and street parking is free; participants in the Half and 10 Mile events may use the Passport app for lot payment.
All finishers receive a medal. Overall first place medals are awarded to the top male and female in each distance. Race results and photos are distributed the day after the event and race photos are free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
