The Run Your Heart Out race takes place on February 8, 2026, at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, CA. The event includes the following distances:

Course and on-course support

Courses are out-and-back along the beach path. The 5K route is used for the 5K (one lap) and the 10K (two laps). The 5-mile route is used for the 10-Miler (two laps). The half marathon combines the 5-mile route twice plus the 5K route once. The beach path is an open course; runners are asked to stay on the right side (the left side is for cyclists). A fully stocked water station is at Belmont Pier. The finish area also has an aid station with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. Each station has a first aid kit and crew members trained in CPR. Course turns are marked with chalk, runner turn signs, and flags.

Logistics and final details

Early bib pick-up is offered at Sports Basement Long Beach (2100 N Bellflower Blvd). Parking in the lot is $2 per hour; half and 10-Miler participants may use the Passport app to pay for parking. Street parking is free. A registration tent provides gear check; participants should bring their own bag. All finishers receive a medal; overall first place male and female in each distance receive 1st place medals. Race results and photos are sent the day after the event; race photos are free. An early start may be pre-arranged for 10-Miler and half marathon participants; early starters are not eligible for awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
