Run Your Heart Across De Pere 5k : May 29, 2027
Run Your Heart Across De Pere is a community 5k held at De Pere High School in De Pere, Wisconsin. The event was created in 2020 to help elementary students stay connected during virtual learning; participants trained virtually, shared race day photos, and raised funds for Hands Across De Pere, a local nonprofit that assists students and families. The event returned in person and now includes students from all public and private De Pere and West De Pere school districts.
The event is organized for De Pere and West De Pere public and parochial students in kindergarten through sixth grade and their running buddies. Running buddies may be friends, family members, older siblings, or other adults. Students in kindergarten through second grade must be accompanied by an older sibling age 14 or older or by an adult running buddy on race day. Students in third through sixth grade may register to run without a running buddy. Because the course is on school property, all running buddies must register and complete a liability waiver.
The registration fee is $40. Registration includes race entry, a bib and timing chip, a custom race t-shirt, a finisher medal, and after race refreshments. Late and day of registrations are expected, but event amenities such as shirts and medals cannot be guaranteed for late registrants.
