Run Your Heart Across De Pere 5k
Run Your Heart Across De Pere is a community 5k event held at De Pere High School, 1700 Chicago Street, De Pere, WI 54115. The event began in 2020 to help De Pere elementary students connect during virtual learning. In the first year students trained remotely, shared race day photos, and raised funds for Hands Across De Pere, a local non profit that assists students and families.
The event now runs in person and includes public and private students from the De Pere and West De Pere school districts in kindergarten through 6th grade and their families. The distance for the main event is 3.1 Miles.
Running Buddies can be friends, family, older siblings, or other adults who join a student. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students must participate with either an older sibling age 14 or older or an adult running buddy. Third through 6th grade students may run without a buddy. Because the course is on school property, every running buddy must register and complete a liability waiver. Participants may register multiple running buddies.
Registration opens 3/1/2026 and the listed registration end date is 4/30/2026. The entry fee is $40 and includes race entry, bib and timing chip, a custom race t shirt, a finisher medal, and after race refreshments. Late and day of registrations are expected but shirts and medals cannot be guaranteed for late entrants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
