The Run Yorkshire Roundhay 5k is a one-lap race around Roundhay Park in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The course passes the park lake and includes a climb up to the Mansion House. The distance is 5K. The route is described as undulating and on multi-terrain surfaces within traffic-free parkland of about 700 acres. The minimum age for entry is 11.
Logistics and prizes
Entries were limited to 300 and the race entry was closed before the event. Entry fees were listed as £13.00 for affiliated runners and £15.00 for unaffiliated runners. Race timing used chip timing provided by Timing4Sport, while official results and positions are calculated on gun time; chip time is available for personal use. Race headquarters and registration were at the Mansion House area of Roundhay Park. There were no water stations on course and distance markers were placed every kilometre. Facilities at the event included bag drop and toilets near race HQ, public parking, first aid, and finish-line refreshments. Prizes included a finisher medal, individual prizes for the top three men and women, and veteran age-group prizes (Women 35+ and Men 40+), with rules about minimum finishers per age group.
